Hey! Aurora's Fog 0.07 is already here and available for download. I also want to remind that everyone who supported the development on Patreon or want to help in testing can now get early access to version 0.08.
Aurora's Fog 0.07
Added
- Displaying the activity of the Head Rotation and Censorship buttons in the customization menu;
- Ability to disable Volume Clouds in graphics settings;
- Motion blur, as well as the ability to disable it at will in the Settings;
- The ability to switch between sections of the book on the keyboard keys 1-5;
- The ability to shift items in stacks in the Trading menu/Search;
- Added the ability to scroll through the quests in the list using the W/S buttons;
- Reports on some quest stages on behalf of the Hero;
- Added the ability to mine wood as well as ore;
- Added 7 new quests;
- Respawn of wolves when the player returns to the village, as well as the number of wolves on the level increased by 3;
- Added the ability to skip training in some quests (cooking Shaartan potion). But at the same time, the player loses part of the experience for not completing the quest completely;
- Variable NPC responses depending on respect for the Hero and whether the NPC is sleeping;
- Added the Learning section to the Knowledge book;
- The player can trigger an Act scene when a certain level of relationship is reached. This opportunity has a cooldown for both the Player and the partner;
- Added 2 new items: frying pan and mortar;
- A small camp with loot and a miner's cache has been added to the map;
- Added head damage multiplier;
- When equipping a weapon, it now is shown on the belt;
- Added physics to the belt;
- When the Skill level increases, the player gains experience;
- Added addition of damage to weapon damage depending on the level of weapon skill;
- The Healing skill is now improved when healing Hero: using food or potions. But the skill will not improve if the Hero has full health. Skill Effect: Now food/potion treatment is enhanced depending on the level of skill;
- The Light Armor skill now improves when taking damage wearing light armor. Skill Effect: Increases armor value;
- Added the ability to improve most of the Skills (14 out of 19);
- Added the ability to repair armor and weapons;
Changed
- Music and ambient have changed the download type to Streaming, which made it possible to speed up the loading of the game by 2-3 seconds;
- Redesign of the Settings menu. The font of the text has been replaced, as well as the appearance of the sliders. Also, the text with the slider value is now above the slider, not on the right;
- Improved rendering of shadows on distant objects. The resolution of shadows on all presets has also been increased by 2 times. Maximum resolution increased from 1024 to 2048;
- The hint window now has a dynamic width;
- Disabling head rotation in Customization now also disables eye rotation;
- The name field in customization is made more distinct;
- Selecting a quest in the list is done by clicking, not by hovering. Also, the selection is saved when you close the book and even when you exit the game;
- The condition of weapons and armor affects the characteristics. Weapons have reduced damage, and armor has protection;
- The status bar changes color depending on the condition of the item, and is not always green;
- When gaining Skill experience, the player gets half of the experience of the Speech Skill instead of a fixed 10 units. When choosing an answer with an Attribute, the player gets 2 times more experience;
- The Dialogue System has been completely reworked;
- Trading with each NPC is opened after reaching a certain level of relationship with him. Previously, it was opened after unlocking a trade with at least 1 NPC;
- Censorship hides some dialogues/answers;
- Reduced the initial number of available tools in crafting;
- Reduced damage when collecting nettles by 4 times;
- Speed rebalance backwards: Running backwards slows down by 50%, and walking/crouching slows down by 25% instead of the old 100% in any condition;
- The camera switches to head-following mode at the time of death, rather than looking in one direction;
- Reworked all animations of movement, interaction and combat for the Main Character;
- On low values of Stamina the player attacks 20% slower and weaker;
- Reworked clothing system (for now only for the Player);
- Balanced Unarmed damage. Also, when equipping weapons, the damage value is replaced with weapon damage, and not added;
- Maximum Health and Stamina reduced by 2 times;
- Two-handed weapons have been replaced with Hammers, and One-handed with Axes;
- The health bar is made in the form of cells. Each cell displays 20 health points of the player and there can be a maximum of 5 cells;
- The main screen interface reacts to the player's movements;
- The display of stats on the main page of the book (inventory), and most importantly, the display of damage and armor has been redesigned;
- Loading the game is now available only in the "Game" mode to avoid loading errors. The most striking example is loading in Dialogue mode in version 0.06;
Fixed
- Fixed "Ambient Lighting" in the menu due to which the sky did not affect the color of fog and grass;
- When starting the game, the screen turned white for a few seconds;
- Incorrect lighting (reflection) of objects in furnaces;
- Item icons are too large on some screen resolutions (1366x768);
- The Weight of the Inventory is duplicated when loading from the menu (Saving Error);
- Fixed a problem with Updating Quest Data (Saving Error);
- When restarting the save, you can collect trophies from a wolf still alive, but killed before restarting;
- Now you also need a hammer to fix the furnace through the Yotra's advice. It's used to be possible to fix it without a hammer;
- Ambient sounds of the night change an hour later than necessary. Not at 8 pm, but at 9;
- Notifications are not displayed after exiting the act. They can be returned only if the pause is turned on and off;
- A critical error that caused damage to the quest database data when loading the quick save;
- Error with incorrect installation of the current stage of the interface: If you press Escape in the dialogue, and after the end of the dialogue, open and close the chest, the Dialogue interface will be called;
- Critical error. The character "endlessly" dies at the value of hunger/thirst equal to 0;
- Enemy AI does not stop attacking the player if the player is dead;
- Improved body turns of the Hostile AI. Now the AI will always turn its body to the player, and not freeze in one position and attack the air;
- Now when exiting the dialogue, the camera looks at the npc's head, and not resets to zero values;
- The Player's body turns in the dialogue have been returned;
- When equipping clothes, animations were resetting;
- Now, when dealing damage to an enemy, the equipped weapon skill is improved, not the Unarmed skill;
- Fixed a bug with clothing/weapons equipment after reloading save file;
- Texture resolution is reset to Low after game launch;
- Dynamic resolution resets when opening the Game scene;
